My husband taught me to play golf in 1992. He died in 2003, so we only got to play golf together for 10 years. In the past two years I spread his ashes at the home of golf, St. Andrews & the one place we played together, Spyglass.

This year I used my vacation time to volunteer at the US Open and was not allowed to Tweet, Facebook or You Yube from the course and winning this would let me do that, legally!

I posted my player videos on You Tube and my own blog during the US open. Would love to be interactive with fans from all over the world during the tournament because I'm just like you!

voting turned off at 9pm west coast; when east coast had until midnight? that is the time my friends were able to vote daily. Is that correct?

As of 24 hours before entries are no longer accepted, I am the guru on GetGlue of The PGA Tour, The Tour Championship; Fed Ex Cup, Paul Azinger, Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson, Ian Poulter, Tom Watson and 10 others; Brad Faxon basically tweeted me right out of the top 10 with his friend...

That was a tweet late Sunday from Rae Gina Ouzts, a volunteer at this year's U.S. Open. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon and one of the cooler things about the tournament being played at a public venue like Pebble Beach, which was still open all the way through the weekend

Rae is a golf addict(like a lot of us). Joe Ouzts, Rae's late husband, was my best friend. I know he'd be very proud of her. Thanks to Rae, a part of Joe forever resides at some of Golfs Hallowed Grounds. HATS OFF TO YOU, RAE!! GOOD LUCK!!
