The memorial, st. jude classic, greenbrier classic, bridgestone invitational.....these are the tournaments this 27 yr old gal traveled to this year and had a blast doing so. some said i was crazy for traveling alone but i wanted to see the best of the best play so i off i went.
As a young girl, my father taught me to play golf and i developed a love for the game at a young age. i grew up hearing about "the bear", ben hogan, arnold palmer etc. i played golf all through high school and still do but there is nothing like seeing the best players in the world show ya how it's done in person. THESE GUYS ARE GOOD! And the players and the caddies appreciate the fans and know we love'em-whether it's a long putt that trickled in the hole for an eagle or birdie or a sweet sand shot that's made to save par, or you hear the crowd roar from 4 holes over and know that history is being made...there's nothing to me comparable to the PGA tour. i would love to win this contest. i would appreciate your vote and wish all the contestants good luck as well. thank you, valerie:)

To all a big THANKS......
last day to vote is Labor Day, but i want you to know that i thank everyone again and again for taking time to vote for me. this weekend is for all to relax and spend time with family. most will probably be watching football games (UL vs. UK) Go Cats! or watching PGA golf (Deutsche Bank Championship) which Jason Day is leading at -8 right now:) i hope you all have a safe and wonderful one at that.
and thanks to PGATOUR.COM for having this fun contest for all of us fans and your updates on the tourneys so those of us at work know what is happening when we can't be at home watching. it's been fun. thank you Sincerely, Valerie McCoy

I agree that there are a lot of great fans out there! So many good videos! I know one of the entrants in the top ten who I've known to be a golf nut for decades, and will do what I can to support her efforts. She's a super person and more than the PTA Tour's biggest fan; she is also a supporter of the integrity of the sport. This has been a lot of fun for all of you who have submitted videos, but also tons of fun for us friends---whether we are into golf or not! Thanks a bunch to you all! Hi Valerie! Is one of your parent's names Dallas? Besides being a huge golf nerd, I'm also a huge Dallas Cowboy fan as well! Actually, Dallas is my nickname to many people. I would have loved that to be my actual name, or Ryder for Ryder Cup, but I have to settle with Theresa. Good luck. :)

Good luck everyone! i have been looking at all the latest entries this morning and they are really good. i have such great people in my life. i am blessed with the oppurtinity to work with my my father, mother, and brother in the same school building. i love you all dearly and thank you for voting me. i also thank my good friends, my lil students, co-workers, and anyone that took the time out view my entry and consider me for their vote. i would love to win, but if i don't, i am extremely thankful for everyone taking the time out to vote. i hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. I don't think anyone's accused Valerie of cheating. There were some questionable vote count jumps that probably needed to be looked into. But there are plenty of other possible explanations other than Valerie cheating (such as them somehow being legitimate, or someone else cheating on Valerie's behalf). I hope Valerie doesn't think she is being accused of anything.

hey carmena lol! you are so silly. hey btw, if you are on here voting, anyone that wants to Zumba, we are getting ready to in the elem school gym in about 5 minutes. come down and join the party! i am wanting to go zumba and then get home and see some golf Barclays style. thank goodness for dvr and PGATOUR.COM(that the school doesnt block). i woke up this morning and discovered this contest has turned into certain people throwing accusations and saying things that i just can't even begin to believe. i will have no part of saying negative things about the other contestants in the contest. it is out my character to do so. and i ask my voters not to say anything about the other contestants. i understand you wanting to take up for me and i appreciate it but, it's not worth an argument to win. golf in itself is a game of etiquette and i would like to keep this contest that way as well.

hey demi,
there was an option to submit a picture or a video. you couldn't do both:( as soon as i found out about the contest via twitter, i found my most recent picture, wrote a description and submitted it. mine isn't a video. if you look, the majority are pictures and a few are videos. if you look at the bottom right corner, it will show a camera or a video camera to let you know whether or not the entry includes a video or picture. hope this helped the mixed up.

Hey there Val, Are you aware your video is not working? Selecting your picture does not produce video - maybe just glitch in system, wanted to give heads-up so you can have equal advantage since voters want to hear, see reality entries. Hope can resolve your video problems. Will check back before I decide on who to cast my daily votes for to see if you are able to take care of your malfunction issues. Good luck dear.

wow val i just read the page of the girl who is leading. She's accusing YOU of cheating...you...even though she's in the lead, and manages to do the exact thing she's trying to accuse you of? Weird, and sad. She said she's going to call "Mike @ Strutta" so this competition was rigged i think, especially if she knows the people running the site. I hope you win now just to spite her trash talk.

i agree. i think it's kinda weird that you live right there "and you're supposedly the mystery woman who hugs on gary player" yet you need this? Seems kind of fishy to me how one minute val's up by 50 and the 30 mins later she's down by 100. Anyways, Val you definitly deserve this more given the circumstances of what this whole package deal includes. We're going to keep voting for you and get you where you need to be!

i saw where u and another gal are in the run for 1st and 2nd place on the votes. and it was brought to my attention that she is from Acworth GA which is only 40 minutes away if i am not mistaken from the Tour Championship in Atlanta? She is within minutes from the tourney? You need to let people know that you are from Southern Ohio and could use that ultimate fan prize package which includes a flight to Atlanta to work with the PGA tour. You have always driven to tourneys, even though some were like 8 hours away! and alone at that! and i know that you have social networking skills criteria met because you go crazy on twitter ab sports all the time! well, good luck n maybe if people see that you are quite a few hours away from the tourney and they join your twittermania-you will win this thing whether you are ahead in the vote race or not! we all have faith in u val!

i have nothing but respect for all the golfers on the pga and lpga tour. golf is one of, if not THE hardest game there is in sports. it takes a lot of work, time, and patience. Lately the unfortunate occurences with dustin johnson at whistling straits and julie inkster at the safeway classic have just been heartbreaking. as a fan, i just wish i could give them back that moment to do over. but no matter what happens, the fans of the pga and lpga tour will be back the next weekend watching and hoping for those who came so close before to grasp that win!

i remember ya too valerie! the girl who spent 5 hours working out in the johnson center at uk!! u r one of the most dedicated people i know in the gym so i could see where u would be a dedicated fan as well!!! And if u had a facebook, we would all have known this earlier about voting!! But i read where u don't have one because you are a teacher(smart decision) most school districts advise against it and some don't even allow it. So, a phys. ed teacher huh, go figure- right up your alley!!

Growing up with a father who was an avid golfer, Valerie developed a love of the game of golf at an early age. God has blessed her with many things and one of them has been her athletic ability. While in high school they didn't offer a girls golf team, Valerie was permitted to play on the boys team. One of my fondest memories of those days was watching her play in a girls tournament at a quite challenging course. I was amazed at her competiveness and the fine young woman she had become. Valerie is a hard worker and as an elementary physical education teacher, she stresses to her students the importance of exercise and getting involved in some type of sport or hobby. She is a very friendly, energetic, and outgoing person who loves golf and has a good knowledge of the game. This is why I am voting for her for the PGA's Ultimate Fan! Good luck sweetheart!
